Subject: Support for Scouting America’s Policies and Values

Dear Scouting America Leadership,

I am writing as a concerned supporter of Scouting America to express my strong support for the organization’s current policies and values. Scouting America has long provided a space for youth to develop character, leadership, and integrity. The Scout Law and the organization’s commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion are central to its mission and should remain unchanged.

Recent reports indicate potential pressure to alter the organization’s policies, including DEI initiatives and core Scout values. I urge you to maintain your current policies and programs, including:

·       Upholding the Scout Law: Trustworthy, Loyal, Kind, Brave, Helpful, Cheerful, Obedient, Friendly, Courteous, and respectful of all religions.

·       Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, including programs for girls and underrepresented groups.

·       Double down on your humanitarian and inclusive community principles you strive to inculcate in our youth including inclusion, tolerance of difference, bravery, kindness, work ethic—which are contrary to the ethics of Trump/Hegseth, et al. of the current administration.

·       Preserving the integrity and independence of Scouting America’s mission and educational programs and of private organizations across America.

The values and principles that Scouting America instills in young people are vital for their growth and for the strength of our communities. Changing these policies under external pressure would undermine decades of positive impact and the trust of families across the nation.

Please know that your supporters stand firmly behind you. I encourage you to continue modeling courage, integrity, and inclusivity for all Scouts, regardless of any external pressure to alter your mission.

Thank you for your leadership and dedication to fostering the next generation of leaders.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
